In 2021, the Golf For Vocations golf tournament introduced The Vocations Cup Trophy. The award is meant to highlight a parish, priest, organization or individual that is leading the way in supporting and promoting vocations in the Diocese.

Since 2021, the award recipients have included Mt. Carmel parish, Fr Greg Schlarb, long time Serra Club members Chuck and Alice Wold, and Fr Chad King.

We are excited about this award and look forward to continuing a long-term legacy of recognizing and promoting support for seminarians in the Diocese of Phoenix.
Each year, the Vocations Office chooses the recipient that best represents a significant commitment to supporting vocations in the Diocese. The award is presented to the winner at the luncheon of the Phoenix Golf For Vocations tournament.
The trophy itself is a scale model of a 1st century fishing boat like the ones that Peter and Andrew used before they left their lives as fishermen to become ‘fishers of men’.
The award is permanently housed and displayed at the Nazareth House Seminary in Phoenix.
